Ik ben dit boek aan het lezen. Erg grappig en onderhoudend. Zondag a.s. is zijn band Pennywise te zien en te beluisteren in de Melkweg te Amsterdam. Het is al een tijd geleden dat ik hem voor het laatst heb gesproken maar zoek hem nu zeker even op om is te bomen over dit erg geestige boek.
Jim Lindberg is the leadsinger of the band Pennywise and a Punk Rock Dad. When he drives his kids to school inthe morning, they listen to the Ramones, the Clash, or theDescendentsx97and that’s it. They can listen to Britney and Justin ontheir own time. Jim goes to soccer games, dance rehearsals, and pianorecitals like all the other dads, but when he feels the need, he alsogoes to punk shows, runs into the slam pit, and comes home bruised andbeaten . . . but somehow feeling strangely better. While the other dadsdye their hair brown to cover the gray, Jim occasionally dyes his blueor green. He makes his daughters’ lunches, kisses their boo-boos, andtucks them in at nightx97and then goes into the garage and plays BlackFlag and Minor Threat songs at a criminal volume. He pays his taxes,votes in all the presidential and gubernatorial elections, serves onjury duty, and reserves the right to believe that there is a vast RightWing Conspiracyx97and that the head of the P.T.A. is possibly in on it.He is a Punk Rock Dad.
